leagal Responsibilities to be aware of as a driver!
HEALTH -
Certain medical conditions should be reported to the DVLA it would be a big disappointment for a person to under go the training to learn to drive and then have to forfeit because of certain medical issues. YOU the driver must be in a fit state to drive, not only for your own safety, but for other road users and pedestrians. NEVER Drive if you are taking certain types of medication. Don't panic! Check with your doctor everything could be OK.
EYE SIGHT -
Can you read a number plate from a distance of 20 meters or 65 feet.If you need glasses to read it clearly, then you must always wear them when driving.
DRINK -
Never drink and drive, not only will you spill it and distraction,it is safer not to drink at all even though there is alegal limit which has now CHANGED from 80mg / 100mg down to 50mg / 100mg.
DRUGS -
Taking illegal or prescribed drugs drugs before driving can have more severe effects than drinking, either check with your driver or your instructor for advice.
TIREDNESS -
If you are tired, you are more likely to have an accident. On a long journey, try to have a break every 2 hours
MOBILE PHONES -
It is illegal to use a hand held mobile phone whilst driving. It is also advisable to use common sense when using blue tooth. picture the scene [ You are driving along, and the phone rings, you are asked to pop into Asda on your way home for some bread and milk, already in a rush ] You are now PICTURING YOURSELF WALKING DOWN THE AISLE AT ASDA PICKING UP THE MILK AND BREAD.
YOU have now mentally left the road you were travelling on, and are checking out the quickest route to take from the entrance of asda to the products you need. Unfortunately, this has been proven and DOE'S happen.
Better to miss a call for a few minutes and call back later, than to wreck your life and others with the possible loss of a life.
